Friendship

Dear LCA Families,

As the 2019-2020 school year comes to a close, thank you for partnering with us during this most unusual school year. We have had the opportunity to celebrate milestones, create memories, and endure hardships. We are grateful to have a school community that reflects the Livingston Classical Academy Core Virtues of Courage, Perseverance, Courtesy, Honesty, Service, and Self-Government. The LCA School Board recently approved the addition of the core virtue, Friendship. The Core Virtue of Friendship could not have come at a better time as we look forward to a bright future, building community, and showing kindness toward one another. LCA students, families, and staff, you are amazing, and each one is important to our school community.

Our last day of school is June 12, 2020. As you are already aware, our school family will wave our goodbyes to the 2019-2020 school year on Wednesday, June 10, 2020. Refer to the family letter that you received for specific information and a schedule (also attached to this email)End of year family letter.pdf . With that said, there are many things yet unknown for the start of the school year. Please be assured that diligent school planning is underway, including all possible scenarios of teaching and learning opportunities, to include in-person, on-line, and a blend of both if necessary. LCA will continue to practice safety first and follow state guidelines as required. We will continue to plan for the future as information continues to unfold, being at the ready with our plans for school. When we know, you will know. We understand the need for information, just like you. We love school, it’s what we do!

Thank you, students, families, and staff, for your endurance through tough times. Your words of encouragement and kind sentiment have been uplifting to others. We look forward to sunshine and a bright future. Enjoy your summer and be safe!

Sincerely,
Lisa Gillon
